WHEEL OF PROPHECY VERSE CARDS

This set of verse cards is adapted from the Wheel of Prophecy, compiled by C. P. Kilgore. A few verses were added as an addendum to this compilation and are notated with an asterisk on both the cover design and the verse cards. There are a total of 364 verse cards (331 unique verses), but 131 verse cards (105 unique verses) have been hand-selected as good verses on which to focus. These are notated by a star at the bottom left of the verse card. The top of the verse card will display the corresponding section(s). Since some verses correspond to multiple sections, all corresponding sections will be listed. Verses that correspond to multiple sections are repeated. After the first iteration, these verse cards will be notated with the word “Duplicate” at the bottom left.

HOW TO MEMORIZE A VERSE

Before studying the Bible, pray and ask God to help you and to open your understanding to His Word. As great as you may feel after praying, it still takes work to memorize a verse. As the old saying goes, “How do you eat an elephant?… One bite at a time.” So it is with any large task: you must take it one step at a time. When learning a verse, start with a bite-sized phrase and repeat it until you can quote it without looking. Usually, repeating it 5 times should be enough, but you may need more or less. After you have memorized the first phrase, move on to the next bite- sized phrase, repeating it until you can quote it without looking. Then, put these two phrases together, repeating them until you can quote them without looking. Repeat this method until you have memorized the verse. Try to repeat the reference before quoting to help your brain associate the reference with the text. See the example below for memorizing Isaiah 44:6.
